Don Carmichael
Don Carmichael plays acoustic guitar, rhythm guitar, keyboards, and sings lead and backing vocals. He got his start in music purchasing a cheap Epiphone guitar his freshman year in college at NIU and learned to play along with other enthusiasts on the dorm floor and at parties. At jam sessions he learned he could sing and often dabbled with keys when needed. Don is a founding member of the Faculty Band which started performing in the early 1990’s for school functions. Don has been playing regularly, performing a couple times a year along with his band mates. Don earned a bachelors in Biology and a Masters in Earth Science. He taught Biology, Physics, Earth Science and Environmental science at Stevenson High School from 1985 until his retirement in 2018. He now plays in the band, serves on a local school board, golfs, and travels with his wife Mo. Don and Mo have two grown children who are out of the nest earning their keep. Among his favorite artists are Pink Floyd, Steely Dan, and Supertramp.

Dave Wilms
Dave Wilms, a seasoned guitarist, began his musical journey in 7th/8th grade. His first guitar was a 60's Flat top Gibson Les Paul and Gibson Amp, which he acquired for just $100. During the 1970s, he played both bass and guitar, even building his own Heathkit Amp and Speaker Cabinet. His musical influences include the Beatles, Almond Brothers, Clapton, Stones, and Led Zeppelin. Dave performed in various bands at IU in Bloomington, Indiana, and his band was once offered the opportunity to play warm up at the BlueBird for an upstart called Jonny Cougar. However, they opted for a different weekend gig that promised more money. Over the years, Dave has played with Chip and Don as a teacher in the "Faculty Band" at Stevenson High School. Now retired, he spends his time selling large-scale solar power, sailing, traveling, and working on his house. Music remains one of his beloved pastimes, and he continues to enjoy live music.
